This is just a drawing I did today in graphite of a little faery lost in thought.
I'm really pleased with how it turned out, like most things it does look better in the real, but it came out relatively well in the scanner.
To help draw the body, I drew this from a photo of myself from behind to get the basic muscle features and curves, of the back. I wanted to make it look as realistic as possible, and I hope I achieved that!
Any thoughts, comments, constructive criticisms are welcome, I would love to know what you all think
Its very good, photos are always useful. Perhaps the wings look a little flat with the body looking so real, could possibly use some suggestion of veins because if you look closely at dragonflys and stuff the wing is made up out of smaller sections.
Also what pencil do you use because perhaps you need to shade in a slighly softer lead to give it a bit more definition.
hope they help, you know what is really useful for faeries...clothes catalogues, gives you lots of ideas for poses and help to know how the human body works.
Wow, that's excellent. It's a relatively simple image, but that's the beauty of it. I'm not entirey sure what I'm trying to say, but it just strikes me as excellent.
I could almost see making this a duochrome image of some kind... Use a very light blue pencil or similar to shade this, and give it just a little bit more depth. Just an idea.
I love this. Absolutely love it.
